Life as a freelancer can be hectic, and promoting your freelance business may be the last thing on your mind. You’re already busy with client deadlines and making ends meet, and it can seem impossible to get everything done. But finding new clients while keeping current ones<\/a> is vital to your success, especially when you’re just starting out.<\/p>\n

So how can you fit promotion into your schedule without losing your mind? Luckily, there are a few quick techniques you can use to promote your business in just minutes a day. Here are 8 of them…which have you tried?<\/p>\n

1. Upsell your current clients<\/h3>\n

This is one of the easiest ways to increase your income. Many of your clients only know about the services they hired you for, not all that you have to offer. Let them know what else you can do to help them. Be sure to tie each service recommendation directly with their needs, and consider offering special deals and freebies.<\/p>\n

2. Email your previous clients<\/h3>\n

Reach out to clients you enjoyed working with in the past, and ask if there’s anything you can do for them. Tell them why you enjoyed working with them, and mention any new skills or experience you’ve picked up. Make service recommendations based on what each client might need, but also mention all that you have to offer in case they see something else they might like.<\/p>\n

3. Get Feedback<\/h3>\n

Prospective clients want to know they can trust you and your abilities. Ask for recommendations after each job well done. Haven’t yet completed any jobs? Offer recommendations to friends, colleagues or former clients and ask them to reciprocate by providing testimonials. You can also reach out to past clients, even if you worked with them long ago.
